The Code of Practice is designed to help AI providers comply with this new legal framework in a timely manner, ensuring that models are secure, transparent, and copyright compliant <\/p>\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Structure of the Code<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p>The paper is organized into three key chapters:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Transparency<\/strong> &#8211; a model documentation form to demonstrate transparency on data, training, licensing and energy consumption  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Copyright<\/strong> &#8211; guidelines to support compliance with EU copyright law, including technical measures to prevent infringing reproductions.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Safety and Security<\/strong> &#8211; advanced practices for systemic risk management of the most complex AI models, with monitoring and reporting requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Next steps<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p>Once the code is approved by the member states and the Commission, providers of general-purpose AI models who voluntarily sign the code will be able to demonstrate compliance with the relevant requirements of the AI Act by adhering to the code. In this way, code signatories will benefit from a <strong>reduced administrative burden<\/strong> and <strong>greater legal certainty<\/strong> than providers who demonstrate compliance in other ways.
