Rome, Oct. 17, 2025<\/em> – This morning, at the House of Emerging Technologies (CTE)<\/strong> in Rome, the award ceremony of the Lazio Cyber League 2025<\/strong>, the regional contest<\/em> dedicated to middle and high schools to promote a culture of cybersecurity through awareness campaigns carried out by students, was held.<\/p>\n\n

The Lazio Cyber League is an integral part of the “At school connected: let’s surf safely<\/em><\/strong>“, promoted by the Lazio Region<\/a><\/strong> in collaboration with Cyber 4.0<\/strong>, the Highly Specialized Competence Center for Cybersecurity, and with the Regional School Office of the Ministry of Education and Merit<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Now in its second year, the “At School Connected” project involved more than 6,000 students and 500 teachers from 40 Lazio schools<\/strong> between January and May 2025 through training sessions dedicated to the risks of online browsing<\/strong> and the conscious use of new technologies.<\/p>\n\n

The Lazio Cyber League<\/em> competition featured a selection of institutions, with more than 20 middle and high schools competing to promote <\/strong>creative and effective campaigns <\/strong> to raise awareness about digital security<\/strong> and the conscious use of new technologies. <\/p>\n\n

During the awards ceremony, in the presence of institutional representatives, school leaders and students, the top six schools<\/strong> were awarded prizes: for middle schools, IC Hypatia of Rome, IC Olevano Romano and IC Piersanti Mattarella of Rome; for high schools, ITT Leonardo Da Vinci of Viterbo, ITIS Galileo Galilei of Rome and IIS Paolo Borsellino and Giovanni Falcone of Zagarolo.<\/p>\n\n

The prizes, disbursed in the form of vouchers for the purchase of school supplies, are intended to support the growth and educational innovation of participating institutions. In addition, for the top five ranked institutes in the high school category, the possibility of participating in a training course dedicated to teachers, promoted by the Lazio Region, Cyber 4.0 and the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, was announced, aimed at enhancing cybersecurity skills to be transferred to students in the next school year. <\/p>\n\n

“The Lazio Cyber League is a concrete demonstration of how much cybersecurity training can become an engine of participation, creativity and collective responsibility<\/em>,” said Paolo Spagnoletti<\/strong>, President of Cyber 4.0 and Full Professor of Business Organization in Luiss<\/strong>. ” Through the comparison between institutions, schools and the world of research we are helping to build a new digital awareness, starting with the younger generations<\/em>.”<\/p>\n\n

“The future of cybersecurity is in the hands of trained and motivated young people. With this in mind, the idea of fielding the Lazio Cyber League was born. <\/em>– explains Giuseppe Schiboni, Labor, School, Training, Research, Merit and Urban Planning Councillor of the Lazio <\/strong> Region-not just an award but a tool that aims to enhance excellence and talent in a constantly growing sector that is decisive for the development of our region and our country <\/em>. The massive spread of technology in our lives and in our society generates not only obvious benefits, but also the spread of new risks, which stem largely from the inherently interconnected nature of the cyber world. Aware of all this, cyber security represents one of the pillars on which, across the board, our region intends to continue to invest because only in this way can we ensure the safety of citizens and guarantee the growth and competitiveness of our territories.” <\/em>. <\/p>\n\n

The initiative confirms the commitment of the Lazio Region and Cyber 4.0 in promoting the culture of digital security and collaboration between the world of education, businesses and institutions, in a shared path of skills growth and enhancement of technological innovation in the territory.<\/p>\n\n
