After its success last year, the project “At school connected: let’s surf safely” will start again in 2025. The initiative introduced by the Lazio Region, in collaboration with the Lazio Regional School Office and Cyber 4.0 (National Center of Highly Specialized Expertise on Cybersecurity), aims to spread the culture of security among teachers, students and school staff, to inform them about the possible risks related to the use of digital devices and web browsing.

The project includes a series of free meetings aimed at first- and second-grade schools in Lazio. In 2024 the project saw the involvement of about 40 educational institutions, with a total of more than 4,000 students and 400 teachers and school staff. This year, the adhesions of schools to which letters of invitation to participate were forwarded in early January are already very high, demonstrating the appreciation for a tool that actually enters the lives of children with age-appropriate language. The information moments will have a total duration of a maximum of 4 hours and the content will be modulated according to the target class that will be addressed, also going to define what risks young people are most exposed to depending on their age and therefore their level of use of IT devices. The first meeting is scheduled for late January and the activity will be completed by May.
