Tecnopolo S.p.A., the Company to which the two large Technological Poles Tiburtino and Castel Romano belong and in which the Rome Chamber of Commerce is the absolute majority shareholder, and CYBER 4.0, the highly specialized national Center of Competence for cybersecurity, have signed an agreement in recent days to establish the Center’s headquarters at Tecnopolo Roma Tiburtino.
CYBER 4.0 is one of the 8 competence centers funded by the Ministry of Economic Development, is formed in Association and aggregates 8 public research organizations, 1 non-economic public entity and 35 private entities, which include large enterprises, SMEs and Foundations, aims to develop the competitiveness of the country system by offering guidance and training services to Enterprises and Public Administration, funding research and innovation projects to raise the level of protection from the risk of cyber attacks on systems, processes and strategic, corporate and national assets.
The priority objective of the agreement, as emphasized by Tecnopolo S.p.A. President Giuseppe Gori, “Is to strategically concentrate in the Tecnopolo initiatives aimed at creating an organized system for research and technology transfer, to contribute to the training of entrepreneurs, the technological and productive growth of companies and the services they produce.” Also taking into account, President Gori also added, “that Tecnopolo S.p.a. presents among its statutory objectives that of hosting high-tech service activities, public and private research centers and facilities functional to the technological development of the regional system.” In this sense, “Tecnopolo stands as a meeting point, including a physical one, of operators such as Cyber 4.0 who share this vision, facilitating their establishment and development.”
Similarly, Cyber 4.0, in order to develop its action on the areas of specialization Cyber Security Core Services, Aerospace, Automotive, eHealth, added Professor Teodoro Valente, President of Cyber 4.0, “It is strongly interested in operating in an innovative and dynamic operating environment, such as the one characterized by the more than 150 companies and start-ups settled at Tecnopolo S.p.A, focused in particular on ICT-Information&Communication Technology, Health Biotechnology and Life Sciences, Aerospace&Space Economy.”
An agreement the Tecnopolo-Cyber 4.0 one that will act as a support base to communicate and disseminate towards the business system of the Tecnopolo and the territory the activities of the Association, also through the organization of joint initiatives with other regional actors and institutional partners and especially with the majority shareholder Chamber of Commerce of Rome.
In this regard, the President of the C.C.I.A.A. Rome himself, Lorenzo Tagliavanti, pointed out that “The Tecnopolo-Cyber 4.0 initiative also aims at strengthening and aggregating the institutional and entrepreneurial system of Lazio, which is increasingly interconnected and innovative, in which the actors of development work together by bringing together more and more skills, specializations and processes, as indeed has been happening for some time now in the two Tiburtino and Castel Romano Poles, a concrete result of the initiative and the willingness to invest in innovation and foresight of the Rome Chamber of Commerce itself.” (ANSA).
