The new edition of the CDP Cyber Challenge, the national competition dedicated to young cybersecurity talents, was held on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
The initiative, organized by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti in collaboration with Cyber 4.0, aims to promote awareness of cyber risks and spread a culture of digital security among the younger generation.
Standing out was the “𝗔𝗹𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗼” team, which, like the other participants in the competition, was measured by a realistic simulation of responding to a cyber attack-a challenge that tested collaboration, analysis, incident management and communication skills.

The event-which opened with a video message from Cassa Depositi e Prestiti CEO 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗼, speeches by Fondazione CDP Director General Francesca Sofia and CDP Corporate Security and Chief Information Security Officer Nicola Vanin-reiterated an essential point: addressing increasingly complex threats requires robust skills, collaboration, and investment in the next generation.
Important input also came from representatives of theNational Cybersecurity Agency, Cyber 4.0 and Woman4Cyber Italia, which valued women’s participation and efforts to close the gender gap in the sector.
The CDP Cyber Challenge is not just a competition, but a training course that brings young people closer to the real challenges of digital defense and helps strengthen the strategic skills pipeline for the country’s future.
