Cycles of seminars to spread the culture of safety among teachers, students and school staff to inform them about the possible risks associated with the use of digital devices and web surfing. This is the aim of the project ‘At school connected: let’s surf safely’ articulated in a series of free meetings that will take place until May and intended for secondary schools in Lazio.

The initiative was introduced by the region, in collaboration with the Lazio Regional School Office of the Ministry of Education and Merit and Cyber 4.0 – a highly specialized national center of expertise on cybersecurity. About 40 educational institutions will be involved, with a total of more than 600 students and 600 faculty and staff. Experts and lecturers in the field of cybersecurity will lead the event.

Councillor Schiboni: “The Lazio Region continues to invest in the protection of children.”

“These are projects in which we believe and in which we will continue to invest in order to protect the new generations,” says Councillor for Labor, University, School, Training, Research and Merit, Giuseppe Schiboni. “Ensuring, through an integrated work on the political-normative, social, cultural and educational levels, a digital environment that is safer and as ethical as possible, in an ever-changing context, means, in fact, recognizing the primacy of the role of institutions over the business models that dominate digital environments also with the aim of ensuring that these are child and youth-friendly.”
