Clusit presented the First Half 2024 Report on Nov. 7 at the Security Summit Streaming Edition 2024, a year-end online event that brings together industry experts, businesses and professionals for an in-depth look at the hottest issues and new cybersecurity challenges for businesses, in anticipation of DORA and new European cyber defense regulations.
The Report begins with an overview of the most significant safety incidents that occurred globally (including Italy), comparing them with data collected in previous years.
The analysis of attacks in Italy is then completed by the findings and reports of the Postal and Cybersecurity Police, which provided extremely interesting data and information on activities and operations carried out during the first six months of this year.
In the first six months of 2024 , cyber attacks surveyed by Clusit experts grew by 23% compared to the previous six months. On average, there were 9 major attacks per day in the world; 7.6% of incidents in Italy.
Healthcare is the most affected sector globally. In Italy Targeted manufacturing, but attacks on health care grow 83% from first half of 2023.
