CYBERHACK4AI, the design marathon for students, PhD students, researchers and professors from faculties of Sapienza University of Rome to develop innovative solutions in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, is kicking off.
The initiative is implemented by the Lazio Region through Lazio Innova, together with Saperi&Co of Sapienza University of Rome and with prestigious partners and advisors such as Telsy, Asc 27, Zest and Cyber 4.0.
It is a 24-hour full immersion, during which students will compete to bring new business ideas to life and launch innovative solutions through the use of new technologies.
The hackathon will be held October 1-3, 2024 in the Saperi&Co Center of Sapienza University of Rome (Piazzale Aldo Moro 5).
Participants will have free access to the technologies and facilities in the Lab and will take part in workshops, webinars and short mentoring sessions.
A maximum number of 80 people will be admitted, following the chronological order of arrival of applications, for a total of 16 multidisciplinary teams.
Cash prizes and services are up for grabs for the three winning teams: a prize worth 10,000 euros to the first-place project; second- and third-place 4,000 euros each. Teams must form an enterprise within 6 months of the hackathon’s conclusion.
The projects will, in addition, have free access to all the equipment made available by the Active Space Network and regional FabLabs for the completion and improvement of the prototype and proposed solution. Sapienza University of Rome will support the teams in the verification and subsequent patenting of the project.
