International capacity building, Cyber 4.0 in EU expert team for first LAC 4 cyber diplomacy course

As part of the cooperation with the Cyber Competence Center for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC 4), Cyber 4.0 supported the first cyber diplomacy training activity for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador.

LAC 4 is the competence center promoted and funded by the European Union to develop capacity building activities in the Central and South American regions. The Center was activated in the context of the EU CyberNet project, of which Cyber 4.0 is a Stakeholder.

The course, the first of its kind, was aimed at diplomats and members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Republic of Ecuador, with the goal of providing knowledge and tools useful in taking an active part in the cybersecurity and cybercrime discussions that are developing in the international arena, particularly with reference to the work of the First and Third Committees of the United Nations General Assembly.

In the framework of the cooperation with the LAC 4, the Latin America and Caribbean Cyber Competence Center, Cyber 4.0 supported the deployment of the first course on cyberdiplomacy for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ecuador.

LAC 4 is the regional competence center promoted and funded by the European Union aimed at developing capacity building initiatives in the Central, Caribbean and South American States. The Center has been started in the framework of the EU CyberNet Project, which Cyber 4.0 is a Stakeholder of.

The course, at its first edition, was addressing diplomats and members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Republic of Ecuador, with the goal to increase knowledge and provide tools useful to take pro-active part in the ongoing international debates on cybersecurity and cybercrime, in particular with reference to the work that is done in the First and Third Committee pf the General Assembly of the United Nations.
