Lazio Cyber League

Lazio Cyber League is the regional contest for middle and high schools in Lazio, created to promote a culture of cybersecurity and the responsible use of digital technologies through the direct engagement of students.

The initiative is part of the project “Connected at School: Navigating Safely Online” promoted by the Lazio Region in collaboration with Cyber 4.0 – the Highly Specialized Competence Center for Cybersecurity – and the Regional School Office of the Ministry of Education and Merit.

The competition invites students to design and deliver awareness campaigns on digital security, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of both the risks and opportunities of the digital world. In this way, schools become active laboratories for digital citizenship education, where students are not simple recipients of information but active participants in a hands-on learning journey.

The first edition of the contest involved more than 20 schools across the region, highlighting how cybersecurity has become an increasingly central topic in today’s educational programs. The project aims not only to strengthen students’ skills, but also to support teachers through dedicated training initiatives. Winning schools also received prizes to purchase educational materials and, for some institutions, specific training opportunities for teachers.

Lazio Cyber League is one of the initiatives through which Cyber 4.0 promotes a widespread culture of cybersecurity and fosters collaboration between schools, institutions and the local community, contributing to the development of a generation that is more informed, capable, and responsible in its use of digital technologies.
