Vademecum on cybersecurity for SMEs
The Cybersecurity Vademecum for SMEs, developed by Cyber 4.0 in collaboration with Unindustria’s Cybersecurity Technical Group, is a guide designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises address cybersecurity challenges more effectively.
Digital transformation has expanded opportunities for growth, innovation and competitiveness, but it has also exposed companies of all sizes to increasingly complex risks. Cyberattacks today represent a concrete threat, with potential operational, economic and reputational impacts—even for less structured organizations.
In this context, the Vademecum serves as a practical guidance tool, helping SMEs understand the main digital risks and identify the essential measures needed to protect corporate data, systems and processes. Its purpose is to promote broader awareness of the strategic role cybersecurity plays as a fundamental pillar of business continuity.
The document draws on the 12 Steps to Secure Your Business developed by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), reinterpreting them from an operational perspective for the Italian context and offering concrete, immediately applicable guidance for small and medium-sized enterprises.
