Rome, Oct. 8, 2025 – Cyber 4.0, a highly specialized National Competence Center for cybersecurity, took part in theOsaka World Expo onOct. 8, 2025 , as part of the day dedicated to Centers of Competence and organized by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (MIMIT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan.

The collaboration with METI is of particular importance because of the institution’s strategic role in the Japanese business system. The participation allowed Cyber 4.0 to present its activities to an international audience and to hold business-to-business meetings with Japanese companies potentially interested in the initiatives promoted by the Center and the opportunities offered by the European market.

Cyber 4.0 outlined the lines of activity developed nationally and internationally, with specific reference to its role as a facilitator of European market access for companies operating in the digital sector.

There are Cybersecurity constraints for all those who intend to market products with digital components in the European market, imposed by the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and the Center is developing very strong expertise in this area, through the network of laboratories set up at its members and to the collaborative experiences gained in the national and European spheres such as the SECURE project,” said Paolo Spagnoletti, President of Cyber 4.0 and Full Professor of Business Organization at Luiss.

Cyber 4.0’s main areas of focus include enabling innovation, digitization and security for small and medium-sized enterprises, promoting Italian excellence in cybersecurity, supporting regulatory compliance-particularly with respect to GDPR, NIS2 and CRA-and training and consulting activities aimed at national and international public administrations. The Center is also engaged in cyber capacity building programs aimed at strengthening cyber skills and capabilities in developing countries. In a rapidly changing geopolitical context, the transfer of cyber knowledge and capabilities to and from third countries assumes strategic value in consolidating international cooperation.
