“At school connected: let’s surf safely” is a project aimed at secondary schools in Lazio, created with the goal of promoting a culture of digital safety among students, teachers and school staff.

The initiative, promoted by the Lazio Region in collaboration with the Regional School Office and Cyber 4.0, directly addresses issues related to the risks of online browsing, the conscious use of digital technologies and the main cyber threats that characterize the contemporary context.

The project is developed through training meetings and awareness-raising activities, with the aim of providing concrete tools to recognize risky behavior, protect one’s data and adopt safer practices in the daily use of technologies. Special attention is paid to the educational role of the school as a garrison of digital citizenship.

During the first editions, the initiative involved thousands of students and hundreds of teachers in numerous institutions throughout the region, confirming the importance of a structured and ongoing approach to cybersecurity training in schools.

The guide produced as part of the project brings together informative content, practical tips and in-depth materials designed to support students and teachers in their digital safety education journey, offering a useful reference for consciously facing the challenges of the online world.
