The second day of the study visit began at Cyber 4.0 with a roundtable discussion focused on the private sector’s contribution to strengthening cyber capabilities and international cooperation.
During the meeting between the Ghanaian delegation and representatives of Italian companies—Fabrizio Giacomelli (Mediavoice S.r.l.), Luigi Romano (Yalla Security), Alessio Aceti (HWG Sababa), and Maria Felicita Mucci (Sistemi & Automazione S.p.A)—several potential areas for collaboration emerged: sector-specific guidelines, tools, and awareness campaigns for SMEs, supply chain security, and the development of existing CERTs.
The discussion also highlighted the value of a coordination mechanism between Cyber 4.0 and the Ghanaian Cyber Security Authority, capable of turning these proposals into concrete initiatives. To achieve this, it will be necessary to assess their feasibility, financial sustainability, and long-term impact from the outset.
In the afternoon, the delegation met at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy Dr. Eva Spina, Head of the Department for Digital Affairs, Connectivity, and New Technologies. The meeting provided an opportunity to explore in depth the policies supporting the security of businesses and the national cybersecurity supply chain, particularly in light of the NIS2 Directive and the need to protect critical infrastructure.
The day concluded with a presentation by theAI Hub for Sustainable Development on the safe adoption of artificial intelligence as a driver of development for the African digital ecosystem. Among the initiatives presented was 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝟰𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮, developed in collaboration with Cisco and Cyber 4.0.
