Blockchain to facilitate and accelerate certification procedures, reduce the time and workload of customs activities, offer secure and effective data verification, and foster interoperability: this is the goal of the BRIE project “Blockchain Register for Import Export,” one of 15 research and innovation initiatives funded by Cyber 4.0.
The initiative, coordinated by Moveax, is based on a company-university partnership involving Luiss, Sapienza and Chainside, which will be responsible for the implementation and testing of this innovative infrastructure solution to certify import/export trade transactions in the European Union based on open blockchain.
The BRIE solution aims to create a repository containing information on import/export flows. The application of blockchain technology will provide the system with characteristics of traceability, transparency, security, authenticity of information, accessibility of data, as well as optimization of the entire process.
