Decentralized control of digital assets is an extraordinary enabler for the digital transition but also presents new challenges for institutions and businesses.

This was discussed during the seminar “Blockchain for Financial Services” held May 31 at the Luiss School of Government in collaboration with Algorand Foundation, where members of the Cyber 4.0 Coordination and Management Committee, Prof. Paolo Spagnoletti and Prof. Alessandro Mei, spoke.

The conference presented the vital issues of the relationship between blockchain and finance, both CeFi and DeFi, particularly regarding the convergence of the two different approaches, use cases of decentralized finance, legal issues involved and actions of regulators, and security of the ecosystem.

That ofFinancial Services is one of the areas in which important operational and regulatory thinking has been underway for some time now, and which has already seen the implementation of numerous applications of the blockchain paradigm.
