WISE PACK is one of the projects selected under the Cyber 4.0 calls dedicated to technology transfer, co-funding of high technology maturity initiatives and development of advanced prototypes.
The initiative, coordinated by Radio6Sense in partnership with GUNPOWDER, develops wireless sensors embedded in the packaging of pharmaceutical products, designed to protect the supply chain against cyber-physical attacks and counterfeiting attempts, in a scenario where pharmaceutical plants and the entire supply chain, like other critical infrastructure such as data centers and ICT networks, have now become potential targets for cyber-physical attacks .
Packaging detects anomalies in the package microenvironment both during production and in the later stages of preservation, storage and distribution, ensuring continuous and proactive monitoring.

Innovative elements of WISE PACK include:
- Intelligent packaging, capable of detecting environmental anomalies and signs of attacks or counterfeits;
- Integration of IoT and AI, for continuous monitoring of the production and distribution chain;
- Proactive supply chain protection, reducing drug safety and integrity risks;
Scope of application and use cases
- Pharmaceutical companies protecting their supply chain;
- regulatory authorities that ensure authenticity and safety of drugs;
- logistics companies that monitor products during transport.
WISE PACK, co-funded by Cyber 4.0, contributes to the development of innovative solutions for a more secure, resilient and technologically advanced supply chain.
