Forum Cyber 4.0, in Rome on June 3 and 4
The date is approaching for the Cyber 4.0 2024 Forum, which on June 3 and 4 will bring together leading experts and companies in the world of cybersecurity in Rome for two days of discussion. This year’s event will take place at The Dome atLuiss University, at the Viale Romania
Why the Forum
Developing its action in line with the National Cybersecurity Strategy and the institutional mandate given by MIMIT to support businesses and public administration for a secure digital transition, Cyber 4.0 is now a reference interlocutor for the development of cybersecurity skills and operational capabilities.
The event is therefore intended to be a point of reference for the cybersecurity innovation and expertise community and to represent a moment for the Center to talk with its institutional counterparts-national and international-and its partners in the private sector and the research world.
The Program
The program – in the process of being defined – on the first day will involve authoritative representatives of national and supranational institutions who will take stock of cybersecurity challenges in Italy and around the world, current capacity and skills-building initiatives, the national regulatory and strategic framework, and its evolving prospects in the wake of the European Union’s lines of development. Prominent speakers will include Prefect Bruno Frattasi, Director General of the National Cybersecurity Agency, Deputy Minister of Business and Made in Italy Valentino Valentini e Luca Tagliaretti, Executive Director of the European Cybersecurity Competence Center but we will also have testimonies from the academic world in particular with the participation of Luigi Gubitosi, president of Luiss University, and Antonella Polimeni, Rector of Sapienza University of Rome. But it will also be an opportunity to take stock of the Center’s actions to support businesses and Public Administration, one year after qualifying as a PNRR implementing party for the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, going to focus on the services and incentives provided.
In the second part of the day, we will discuss the training and advisory activities carried out by the Center along with news regarding the Cyber 4.0 lab demonstration space, the T4 DemoLab. Cyber 4.0’s T4 lab was created as an aggregation point for innovative solutions related to cyber security, such as: advanced vulnerability analysis in the industrial environment, OT virtualized environments where companies can simulate cyber attacks, predictive cyber threat analysis, blockchain-based security, and continuous monitoring. The session will present some of the demos available at the Center and the initiatives launched in this context.
The second day will be devoted to two important areas of the Center: research and innovation and student-focused initiatives.
Three topical and interesting topics will be covered in depth in the morning:
Artificial Intelligence
Challenges and opportunities offered by new technologies in the secure digital transition of enterprises and Public Administration. A discussion between the world of research and business on the organizational, procedural and technological impacts of Artificial Intelligence in the context of cybersecurity.
Blockchain
Comparison of business and research world on real cases of blockchain use in the production sector and public administration. After the hype, are we getting to a full exploitation of the real potential of this technology?
Quantum Computing
The advent of quantum technologies will represent a watershed in the world of security for both manufacturers and users. Where is the research at and what are the prospects for use by enterprises and PA in the medium term?
But some success stories and new projects funded by Cyber 4.0 through calls 1/2023 and 1/2024 will also be presented. We will also talk about upcoming trends in cyber, about the future of those who produce cybersecurity in Italy, along with companies that are directly involved in the development of new solutions.
As anticipated, special attention will be given this year to ongoing activities for the training of students and their insertion into the world of work, to which the afternoon of the second day will be dedicated – in its entirety – where recent Cyber 4.0 initiatives will also be discussed, such as the Let’s Cybergame and CyberX – Mind4Future Contests but also the A Scuola Connessi initiative.
With the aim of multiplying opportunities for exchange and facilitating discussion among businesses, institutions and stakeholders, as well as giving visibility to relevant initiatives in which the Center is involved, a small booth area will be set up on the days of the event.
