On May 14, 2021, the “Cyber 4.0 Strategic Design” project, which lasted a total of 7 weeks, concluded. The initiative had been unveiled on April 2, 2021 through a launch event that featured 12 weekly online meetings, all coordinated and led by expert facilitators. Specifically, Cyber 4.0 Strategic Design enabled the design of a proposal for the concept of a National Center of Competence on Cyber Security, with a target group consisting of companies and Public Administrations. The initiative led to a participatory definition of the Center’s identity and built the structural foundations of the provision of guidance and training services in a manner consistent with the available resources and strategies of its constituent partners, through the application of the framework of “Strategic Design,” a design methodology oriented toward creativity and zero-based ideation.

Among the most notable achievements:

  • Stakeholder mapping: identified recipients of Cyber 4.0 activities and priority-scale areas of interest of stakeholders participating in the initiative
  • Defined the vision and mission of Cyber 4.0, which has already been approved by the Cyber 4.0 Steering Committee
  • Business model solutions: identified and specified macro lines of activities such as (1) assessment, (2) training, and (3) innovation chain
  • Business model contents: identified possible types of customers and their business needs, key activities and key resources needed to activate Cyber 4.0 lines of business, communication channels and networking tools.
