As part of Investment 1.5 “Cybersecurity” under the NRP, the National Cybersecurity Agency recently published Notice 3/2022, which provides funding for interventions to strengthen the cyber resilience of the Public Administration, with a specific focus on Regions, Autonomous Provinces and Metropolitan Cities, for a total value of 45 million.

Applications must be submitted by Sept. 30, for 24-month projects.

With the aim of supporting as many parties as possible to seize this opportunity and take full advantage of its potential, Cyber 4.0 provides interested Local Governments with a dedicated Cyber Resilience Desk, providing services of:

– Funding proposal assessment and preparation of project proposals

– Support the development, implementation, management and monitoring of funded project activities

Specifically, the action of the Cyber PA Resilience Desk, will consist of two lines of operation:

1. Proposal preparation: Funding proposal assessment and project proposal preparation.

(a) Activities preparatory to the preparation of the proposal:

  • Preliminary analysis of the target context, including considering digital maturity status;
  • Identification of development opportunities arising from the call, consistent with the preliminary analysis;
  • Contextualization of general conditions and obligations of the notice, eligibility requirements, deadlines;
  • Identification of roles and responsibilities to be involved.

(b) Proposal development:

  • Arrange meetings with personnel relevant to the area of interest;
  • Gathering necessary information and preparing the documentation required by the notice;
  • Design, development and formalization of the proposal;
  • Coordination and management of different streams of related activities;
  • Work plan definition.

2. Project execution: Support the development, implementation, management and monitoring of funded project activities

(a) Development and Implementation of Funded Project Activities.

Specialized support in project implementation through operational services of the Center in its focus areas:

  • Cyber risk assessment and management,
  • Detection and management of cyber threats,
  • Cyber incident prevention and management,
  • Data protection,
  • Systems protection,
  • Safety standards and certifications,
  • Training,
  • Organizational consulting.

(b) Project management

  • Operational and management support, where necessary, for administrative and progress monitoring activities to verify and adhere to planned timelines;
  • Administrative and management support for monitoring compliance with obligations with which grantees must comply;
  • Preparation and submission of project documentation as required by the appropriate Operational Manual for ii Implementing Subjects (e.g., detailed reporting, documented milestones and targets); constant monitoring of project activities and preparation of necessary documentation for periodic meetings.
